Ted's Expertise

Ted serves as Portfolio Manager and Senior Research Analyst on Ariel’s global equities team. In addition to his portfolio management responsibilities, he is an industry generalist. Prior to joining Ariel, Ted spent 16 years at AllianceBernstein (AB), most recently as a senior research analyst on the value equities team, where he covered all sectors across Latin America and served as global industry leader for the commodities sector. Earlier in his tenure at AB, Ted was an analyst for their strategic opportunities fund, a multi-asset hedge fund, evaluating both equity and credit investments. He also held roles within the firm’s wealth management group and worked on the trading and investment services teams. Outside of Ariel, Ted is a board member of the Irvington Education Foundation, a non-profit organization supporting local public schools in New York. Fluent in French, he holds a BS in economics with a minor in mathematics from Duke University and is a CFA Charterholder.
