Roopa's Expertise
Roopa oversees the firm’s brand and marketing initiatives as well as manages strategic enterprise-wide projects. She has amassed over two decades with Ariel in a variety of leadership roles in marketing and institutional marketing and client service and was identified to lead various key firmwide initiatives over the years. Her prior work experience included Kinzie Capital Partners, a Chicago-based private equity firm, where she served as Director of Investor Relations and Operations, Charles R. Feldstein & Company and the Kellogg School of Management. Outside of Ariel, Roopa sits on the Fashion Council of the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and serves on the board of Strides for Peace, an anti-gun violence organization in Chicago. Formerly, Roopa served on the Gene Siskel Film Center’s Advisory Board (now its Philanthropic Council) for nearly 17 years. In 2012, she graduated from the fellowship program of Leadership Greater Chicago, an initiative to educate and connect emerging leaders in Chicago. In 2019, she was honored by Chicago United as one of their business leaders of color. In 2020, Roopa was chosen as a member of the 2020 cohort of The Daniel Burnham Fellowship Program through the Leadership Greater Chicago—an invitation-only opportunity for senior executives. Roopa graduated with a BA in French and psychology from Lake Forest College.
