Josean's Expertise

Josean manages Ariel’s relationships with financial intermediaries and other third parties across the wealth management industry. Before joining the firm in 2021, Josean was a Director at BlackRock where he served as Head of Strategic Accounts for US Offshore clients, focusing on wirehouses, banks, broker dealers, family offices and turn key asset management programs. Previously, Josean was Managing Director and Head of Global Private Bank Strategic Accounts at OppenheimerFunds. Earlier in his career, he served as a Regional Director at Neuberger Berman.

Josean earned a BS in Finance from Bloomfield College, and dual MBA degrees from Columbia Business School and London Business School. He is a CAIA Charter Holder and serves as a member of its New York City Chapter. Outside of Ariel, Josean holds volunteer positions including Co-Chair of the Money Management Institute’s Diversity & Inclusion Committee.
