Ariel Investments

At Ariel, we have spent the last 20 years focused on one thing — our patient investment philosophy. It has helped us to navigate the many ups and downs of the last two decades. We believe a race worth running is a race worth winning. In fact, at Ariel, we chose the tortoise as our symbol because it illustrates our faith in the moral of Aesop's fable of the tortoise and the hare — "slow and steady wins the race".

We believe the key to successful investing is a focused approach and the discipline to stick with it. Unlike many firms which spread themselves across the entire investment spectrum, dabbling in a variety of markets, but mastering none, we prefer to concentrate our efforts on small and mid-cap value stocks.  This specialization, combined with our value investing philosophy, has helped us deliver outstanding long-term results for clients.
