At Ariel, we are committed to maintaining the confidentiality of personal financial information. We do not sell your personal information to anyone and we do not disclose such information to anyone except as permitted or required by law and/or as described in our privacy notice below.

Information about you is collected from your account application and other forms that you deliver to the Funds and their service providers, which may include your Social Security number and/or tax identification number, address and information about the bank account from which you send monies to be invested. The Funds and their service providers use this information to process your requests and transactions; for example, to provide you with additional information about the Funds, to open an account for you or to process your transactions. In order to service your account and effect your transactions, we may provide your personal information to companies that have been retained to service the Funds or your account, such as the transfer agent and printers and mailers who prepare information we send to you. We also may provide your name and address to an agent for the purpose of mailing your account statements and other information about our products and services to you. Finally, we may disclose information about you at your request (for example, by sending duplicate account statements to someone you designate) or otherwise as permitted or required by law. The Funds contractually require their service providers to protect the confidentiality of your information and to use the information only for the purposes for which you provided it. We do not provide customer names and addresses to outside firms, organizations or individuals except in furtherance of our business relationship with you, or as otherwise allowed or required by law.

The Funds will only share information about you with those service providers (and their employees) who will be working to provide products and services to you. Physical, electronic and procedural safeguards that comply with industry standards are maintained to guard your personal information.
