On October 11, 2007 the first-ever Ariel-Schwab Black Investor Summit took place to address the wealth gap between Black and White Americans. This groundbreaking event convened some of the nation’s top academic, non-profit, business and government leaders at NASDAQ’s Marketsite to spur a national dialogue on the retirement crisis, and ultimately elevate the level of savings and investing by all Americans.

In conjunction with the Summit in New York, Ariel and Schwab released the Ariel-Schwab Black Paper, which details our pioneering analysis and a course of action to increase financial literacy and financial security.
